Default st24 poor power output help plz

hi folks my st24 seems to be really lacking in power for some reason i was told that it should have like a extra power kick in at 4k but the power stays the same through out the rev range can anyone shed any light plz im desperate to find out if she id dying

ps 1998 r 100k full history if this helps cheers

hi cheers edd but im still nt sure wht the secondarys are culd that be why there is a real bad smell of fuel from the exhaust cheers

I had a similar problem with an ST-24 a few years ago and it was the secondaries - if you search on the site I suggested there used to be pictures and a step by step guide to rectifying the issue.

sounds like secondrys not opening, could be sticking for the control box (iirc) that has motor to open them not working due to heat sink.

OR, from memory I think it could also be due to the Inlet Manifold Runner Control unit failing due to conducted heat - again see the above website for details.
