i started my erst earlier tonight and when it fired up the pump started making the most horrendous noise,then she started to miss,then stopped! now she wont start and the pump only makes a very faint buzz!!! any ideas?

 

I presume you have fuel left in your tank? You can lift the back seat up, and underneath it there is the plug for the fuel pump. Try feeding 12 V directly to the pump. If the noise is still the same, then there is only one thing to do. Replace the pump.

 

Underneath the seat is, a plug yes, but it is actually what the fuel comp plugs onto, DONT give it a live feed...

IF ya wanna supply a live direct to the pump, get underneath the car and do it, there is a yellow and a black plug on the pump, the one with the brown wire will be the earth.... chances are pump is fudged, especially if you try it again later and its the same.... scan through the search facility type in pump or summt see what comes up, someone may have already asked the same mate...
