my car boosts to 15psi then drops to 11 is this the turbo? or is there some way to stop it? its still a standard turbo

try 'drilling & tapping' the crossover pipe and running the boost from there, you will get a more precise reading that way. You could try one of those 'ball & spring' boost controllers, there supposed to 'cure' weak actuators I think

there the cheaper ways alternatively just splash out for a -31 actuator as andy says, probably better in the long run if your looking for big power

i've got a -31 actuator!!!
how is your boost controlled, bleed valve ? if it is drill & tap a connection in the crossover pipe and run the boost from there, it shouldn't drop then !...........you might need to tweak the boost back up to what it was running before though as after I did this mod to mine I lost a few psi. Its definately worth doing though !

yeah, that probably best mate ! get a brass lockable one from stu at motorsport developements, very reasonable price and also as its brass theres no expansion under heat, plus theres a locking nut on it so no one can tamper with it etc....

when you fit it, probably best to do the above mod as well (drill & tap etc..), boost should be spot on then

yeah thanks, also gonna start saving for a stage 2 turbo as i think the standard one isn't coping 2 well!!!
