Hi new to Cosworths owned a few impreza's before so tunning a cosworth is totally new to me. I have only had it for a week.
Anyway i would like to find out how good is the pectal p8 is.
Is als available??? If so how do you get i setup is it just a case of having it mapped in????
I here the term live mapping used on here alot. I take it thats having someone sitting in the passenger seat with there laptop mapping it on the road or dyno. Is that correct???

P8 is a Webber Marelli ECU and not a PectEl ECU.
Pectel do some boards that fit into the P8 that are used to enable some features but it is essentially just a product key to protect the mappers chip.
Stu @ Motorsport Developments doesn't need the Pectel board to access these features in the ECU and can do it in the software.

ALS is possible for L8 on a std or pectel babyboard, doesn't need a P8 with pectel board
pectel board is not needed at all for anything, only for certain people who need to use the pectel software to program the ecu's cos they don't know any other way
