Default ZE-VH conversion rs turbo - what spec is best for me?

my engine is close to dying so its about time i did the ZVH route

i have an engine and have spoken to burton power about them supplying all the parts and building the engine up

i am also thinking about giving them my head and letting them port/polish and replace internals of that

any other reccomendations about the conversion?

i was planning to go standard pistons route and not too lairy tuning route but i would like to see around the 200bhp mark min and maybe up to 250 min in the future

thanks for any advice posted

if ur doing a zvh then ur gona need a 2ltr zetec cos 18 is crap n theres no point doin all work to a 1.6 is there? if u use standard pistons then ur gona need to get the crowns skimmed by 0.05 mm to get the compresion down for the blower. youl also need 2 holes boring into the block for the oil return from the turbo n the cranckcase breather, youl have to blank of the stat housing on front of block as turbos in way n you use the one on the c.v.h head. the water pump, crank pulley, aux drive belt, engine mount head gasket from the rst. u will need a 18 escort sump n dont forget hte strainer. four holes drillin n tapin in block for water pump to fit and a spacer plate to go betwen the block n pump to align the pulleys for the cam belt. also four of the oil returns in the top of the block will need plugin with brass then milling off. oh if its goin in an fezzy rst then u have to change oil pump for a escort zetec one. the angle of the oil fillter is wrong on the mondy and it hits the crossmember on the fezz. and whatever anyone says there are NO head bolts that fit. you have to use machine bolts with the origional cvh washers as the zetec ones are way too long and the head doesnt tighten and the che ones give to little thread engagement. i think thats it. any probs n u can check my site , link at bottom where signature goes. look on 2.1 zvh turbo page. u can e mail me to if u want n ill be happy to help you if ican. i fired our own zvh up this morning for first time. turned once then fired. looks a bit untidy but a few hundred on chrome n silicon will sort this cheers . turbodoctor
