i have a mk1 escort project on the go atm & was planning on going 2 lt pinto power on carbs, but........ i like turbo power so am thinking this:

1.8 sierra cvh bottom end
frst efi top end
frst management
all chipped & t3'd etc..... produceing about 200bhp.

only thing is im not sure if the rs2000 alloy sump/pick up pipe.8cvh engine???

what pistons can i use on this conversion??????

looking at running about 16psi safe

any idear on what clutch 2 use as will be running a cossie t5 gearbox?

if all this fails its back 2 the pinto with carbs idear

Yeah i had 1.8 cvh turbo from 2001 to 2004, using my xr2 tt kit.

i built it orginaly in 2000 as a N/A car, but then went over to turbo, when i brought half of a TT kit.
i used a Lean burn xr2 flowed head, and kent 35 cam. at different stages run from 7.2:1 cr to 10.1:1 cr turbo'd.

it made 165bhp/wheels in 2003, and run 14.0 @ 101 in my grey xr2 @ the pod in 4-03. With car boot full of tools, spares. ( ask Stavros, steve as i was running against him @ the pod when he had his 3door cossie)

And it run fine, but i wanted to go forge pistons, for ease went to RST 1.6.
