Any help much appreciated!
1995, Fiesta with a 1.6 zetec
Started my car up, ran for about 2 seconds and then it cut out
Tried again and did the same thing! (about 4 times)
Looked at the petrol gauge and its 1/4 of a tank under the red, but I had at least 1/4 of a tank in there. It was used earlier this morning with no problem.
Can here the F pump priming and its turning off about a second after the IGN its cut.
Dont think its an ignition problem as its running perfect for the 2 seconds it runs.
Checked inertia switch too and it was good.
Any ideas???
Thankyou
Rich

Sounds like you have a sensor breaking down.
Hard to tell from that without any more specific info, you could try changing the CPS? Cant guarantee anything though
Just so you know the inertia switch cuts the pump off so you can rule that out of the equation

Thanks for the reply.
Just having a play through lunch.
Its idling fine now and not cutting out. But, it is hesitating when you open there throttle (maybe a slight miss) but its running fine if its held at 4K.
Whys the gauge going arse backwards though?
