RS2000 air con
I currently own a 94M RS2000 4x4, The clutch has gone in the compressor and i've been told that the compressor needs to be sent off to be reconditioned. My problem lies in that the same guy doing the job has said that once you take it off the car the engine won't run as its on the same belt. Is this true? and if so is there any way around it?

Its driven off the fan belt so if you remove that, you will get to the end of the road and the car will cut out with a flat battery. I am not sure but the water pump might be driven by the fan belt as well and also the power steering....
The easiest way to do it is get a new one and swap it over...
