Hey, does anyone know if the colour of an amal valve means anything? i bought an amal valve off ebay for my 2wd saph, the advert was for an rs500 amal valve (assume it's the same as normal cossie, does the same job) now that i have recieved it i notice that it's brown! mine on my saph is black, so is my friends on his 2wd. have i been ripped off or is it simply a later modle of amal valve?
if anyone can shed some light on this, it would be most appreciated

They were used on various other cars as well as fords...........

Probably just the same but from one of them.

My cossie engine one has a cream coloured top...............

 

The one on my cossie is orange, but works perfect.
