Default bit of a problem!!

ok, i dont get it, i thought it was the clutch but im thinking its the diff
basicly,i put my foot down and the revs just shoot up without the wheels, i though it was the clutch but i jacked the car up to fit my new brakes and i start the engine and the front left wheel spins while the front right says still, put the clutch in and it stops, also (still on jacks) i put in first without touching the clutch, laft wheel is still moving without the right. im out of idea so any help will , i no the wheels move anyway but i was a bit concerned when the other wheels didn't move.
...and its a mk5b ford escort.

if you drive the car put your foot down and the revs are going up,and the cars not speeding up,its defo the clutch.
