Hi there
I have an 89 mfi escort xr3i. i have a high pitched sqeal comign from my fuel lines in the engine bay. I have replaced the following with brand new items: Fuel accumulator, Fuel Filter and Fuel distributor, all to no avail. The noise is only apparent at idle and when the foot is taken off the throttle. When applying the gas no noise.
I have also had the problem where with sustained pushing, the car pinks and gets steadily worse the more you push on. Timing is fine, spark plugs are fine as well
Any ideas?

if your car pinks (and if everthing else is ok) youll have to set up the fueling... most probably poor mixture...
good luck
