Default T4 question

will you gain anything by changing the T35 compressor to a T4 .70 housing but still keeping the .48 exhaust as im not after top end power just instant big boost around town

a .48 ex housing is way to small for the t-4 compressor housing. because a t-4 compressor house can flow a lot of air which the .48 ex housing can't do enough.

ask turbo technics.

but are you really planning fitting a t-4 comp.house and a .55 ex house together.

a t-34 comp.house and a .63 will give you more top and power then a .48 will give you. so a t-34 comphouse with a .55 exhouse is a good combination.

Finding the housing is no problem i know a guy who builds turbos as a bonus income hes already building me the turbo with the .48 housing but if you guys say a .55 is better i might go for that

I hope its gonna work, i think the t-4 comp.house is to big for the .55 exhouse.
why dont you buy a GT turbo.

I think it should work because my mate has an 8valve intergrale and they come standard with a .70 compressor and a .48 exhaust the reason i dont go for a GT turbo is because its gonna cost a lot more than Ł300

that will surge to fuck with a T4 compressor and .48 exhaust at any kind of proper boost which will do the opposite of what you want, as the boost will probably need to be set to not boost more than about 1bar until high revs so the engine can consume the air the T4 compressor will be trying to feed it

its one thing building turbos, its another thing

"T38s" which are T4 comp and i think an esc cos .63 housing are known to surge like a bitch on most specs cause its a total missmatch, .48 housing will be far worse

be interesting to see how it goes tho...
