I have just done a full car restoration ,right to the ground and backup.The car is almost finished,but i have a wicked flat spot on take off.
The whole car is standard at the moment,i wanted it right before i do any mods.I have not rebuilt the engine it is totally standard.
It ticks over perfectly,but as i try to rev it or set off the car hesitates to the point of almost stalling.If i juggle the revs past this point (1200rpm)i can rev it no problem .
I have checked the throttle pot,no problem , i changed it with one i knew was ok no change
I have checked the throttle body ,no problem ,but i changed it for another i had ,still same problem.
It has had a new fuel tank all new fuel lines,and pressure regulator,+pump.
Is there a way of checking fuel pressure without buying some mega dear kit and what should it be in standard form?
I have run it with no fuel cap to eliminate breather,still the same.Any ideas would be really helpfull,as i have a msd kit to fit but i need to sort this problem first.
