hello again i recently brought a chipped ecu off someone for my s2 escort rs turbo the bloke said it was a motorsport developments 220bhp chip ive stuck it straight on a standard turbo and the cars speed has not improved does the car need arolling road setup to work or is the ecu not chipped

The chip will allow you to run more boost than standard which is what will give you the extra power. Its always advisable to get the car setup correctly by professionals as they will no the limits given the state of the engine and prevent damage.

cheers mate ive got it booked in for a rolling road tune on the 21st of this month the engine is mint its a 1991 with a brand new turbo otherwise i wouldnt put the ecu on what do u recon i will get bhp wise then

your car will need the boost turning up to get more power the chipped ecu will allow it to run that extra boost !
if its all standard u will need a -31 actuator as well before getting it set u p!
14-16 psi should be ok for a standard engine but your fuel needs matching to the boost!
