Heres another daft thing its doing a 4x4 saffy has an intermitant irrattic rev counter, and it aint the rev counter head ive replaced it and its the same, driving along say 2500 rpm and then the rev counter just starts flicking from 2000 to 3500 or 4000 rpm for no reason, any one had this problem before.

 

yes mate i have the same problem. The car seems to run find though.

 

check/clean the three loom connectors behind/above the engine, on the bulkhead.
Check all connections to the coil and ignition amplifier.
Check/clean all the loom earth connections where they bolt onto the inlet plenum.

It WILL be one of these three
