s2 ignition timing

just fitted chipped ecu and bigger intercooler to s2 with mfi. set the boost to 1bar it now sounds like its pinking does any one know what to retard the timing to.At the moment set as standard.

did you increase the fueling tho fella as this is why it could be it is pinking

i brought the ecu second hand it came with the fuel ecu as well.How do you alter the fueling i thought the mixture screw was just for idle.

if it is still on mfi then their is a small black unit on the side of the metering unit with i think is a white connecter on their you can increase the fueling alittle remove this block and the screw then thier is a very small allen key just nip it not to much then put it all back together and then you will have to set the co up after that to . this is what i have been told but as usual you should really let a pro set it up my mate did my one went right over the car and set the base idle for the fuel for me and i was pushing 16 to 17 psi on standard intercooler it never pinked at all even four up

thanks for that mate I do intend getting it set up on a rolling road but i like to get it close my self first.also gain a better understanding of how the fueling works.At the moment my cosworth seems easier.
