my rst is fluffing more than missing! IT DOESNT SEEM TO BE ELECTRICAL OR FUELLING,BUT WITH THE ROCKER COVER REMOVED I HAVE NOTICED THAT NUMBER 3 EXHAUST VALVE IS NOT OPENING AS FAR AS THE OTHER EXH VALVES. WHEN I REMOVED THE THE ROCKER ARM AND TURNED IT OVER BY HAND THE HYDRAULIC TAPPET DOES NOT LIFT OUT OF ITS POT AS MUCH AS THE OTHER TAPPETS. IT DOES NOT RATTLE WHEN RUNNING THOUGH!! COULD THIS BE THE CAMSHAFT AT FAULT??????

 

it is possible it has worn a bit, best thing to do is take it out and check it over.if you need a standard cam thats ok (cheap) pm me i have a couple spare good luck mate

 

not come across this one befor , probably cos every rst out there has a new performance cam installed befor it has time to deteriorate as bad as yours .

Will be interesting to see if it is .

it was the camshaft,number 3 exhaust lobe was nearly round!!!! got a kent cvh35 in her now.thanks for your help guys.
