Default Advice Please

My s2 RS Turbo had done 22500 miles after a full rebuild about 9 months ago, all of a sudden my oil light started flickering at roundabouts and junctions. So i got a new switch from ford which cured the problem for about 6 weeks, then same again ?So knowing the engine had been rebuilt and so on i nevr thought of getting it oil pressure tested, so i got an auto electrician to check the dash etc and he said all was fine. 13 weeks ago the conrods and most of the bottom end were damaged after coming home from having the pressure checked, it was 20 psi low @ 2/12 thousand revs and 10 psi low on idle.
I just got the bottom end rebuilt again and a new turbo as that was also knackered, also drove aound in it for 2 days then the oil light came back on did around 25 miles and put it in my garage till i can get this resolved.
Any useful ideas as to what the problem is and i will be very grateful as i want it back on the road asap...
Regards - DaveN.

did you rebuild it yourself and how often do you do oil changes? i rebuilt a cvh a couple a years ago and through testing it 15k after a rebuild i made it rev to 7.5k. it coughed a bit and it was sluggish after. i stripped the engine down and found that some of the white metal bearing liner material had come off and found its way into the engine, oil pump and oil galleries and was causing a small blockage. also found the oil pump had scores in the rotor, this would cause low pressure too.

Have you had a new oil pump put on at any point?

I've heard so many times of these high pressure pumps failing......the standard Ford ones seem to be favourite.

With a car like this the best Ł30/Ł40 you can ever spend is on a good oil pressure gauge.....have you had the oil pressure tested yet?
