Mondeo Duratec ECU Mapping.....
#3
Not for the 2.3 the old engine was the 2.0....To be honest havnt got a clue what i am doing....
The 2.3 engine doesnt run well on the 2.0 litre management... But maybe something I could look to adapt... How would i go about getting the base fuel map off the ecu...???
Thanks for the suggestion its a start....
Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated....

Ford ecu's are coded with the engine displacement, if you change engine size without chipping the ecu to account for this change then you do get problems as the ecu uses the engine displacement to calculate load. Load is a fundamental value used in table lookups and the value will now be wrong. If you are using a standard engine then I'd suggest sourcing a 2.3l ecu to use.

Cheers Sailorbob.....OK Im with you... The engine I have installed is a 2.3litre Duratec I4 with uprated cams spings etc, high compression pistons... throttle bodies... exhaust... so you can image that it doesnt run well at all on standard, but i have a MBE Ecu with loom bought second hand.. just need a base map so i can get it on the rollers....
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated
Thanx Roysy
