I recently purchased an escort rst s2. but the car does not appear to be making any boost. it seams to drive just like a 1.6 with not kickback when it should. The car is standard apart from a magnex exhaust.
Any ideas on what to look for or check? or does it need to go on a rolling road.

 

does it have a boost gauge if so what is it reading

 

you probably need a new actuator, might as well go for a -31, you'll need it soon enough anyway

 

Thanks guys. got a boost gauge in the garage gonna try that this weekend. only got the car friday drove ok on the road just thought thats how they are as its standard (newbie to rst ownership). Found out thats not how they should be when i took a mechanic out. Still like the car though just teething problems. thanks for your replys.

 

have a look at the actuator and see if it has come off the wasgate arm.
this hapend to me last week and wasnt boostin. the pin that holds it on the arm had fallen off
