Hi,
Are fuel pump relays meant to get hot or warm when they're working?
For some reason my mfi orions has got so hot that part of its started to melt at the connection Sometimes it has a bit of a missfire at about 1.5-2k rpm after a long run. I think they have an economical mode or somthing like that so maybe its not going into uneconomical mode?

Fuel pump relay is known to melt after a while. Better to replace it before it burns your wiring. Cost a bit too

give the connections a clean m8 , its loose connection on the relay pins

Thanks for the replies.
Still got this problem on a newish one that was in my dads orion and his was running fine so I'm thinking maybe its my fuel pump or fuel filter. It recently had some work done to the pump because one of the brackets holding it on had rusted and they put some sort of bracket thing. Maybe Its shorting somthing out
Do coils do this if they're on their way out?
