Default Aquamist WI pump problem!!!!!!!

Hi all, Ive got a problem with my Aquamist water injection pump.

Ive had it disconnected all winter and only switched it on again yesterday to find that it isnt pumping water.

When i disconnected it i left the pipe going to the intercooler jet connected as its only a pinhole in the water jet and didnt think anything off it. Could this have caused a problem?

Is it possible the pump can cease up inside?

Its making the same noise as before when started up for the first time ( ie b4 the water gets to it ) but continues like this without drawing in the water.

Could there be a blockage in the pump itself?.

The system was completley drained while it was switched off.

Is it adviseable to open up the pump?

Any help, experience with this would be much appreciated as im hoping i dont have to fork out for a new pump.

Cheers [/b]

Try priming the pump first by disconnecting the high pressure side and sucking the water through the pump then reconnect and test, also do you have a filter/ is the jet clean!

My mate works for a tuning company and hes said to me before about the aquamist pumps having a very high failure rate.

Reckons 1 in every 2 are faulty/come back, or there abouts.

john t - ill try that, the pipework is fine as i can suck the water through no probs but didnt think of trying to suck it through the pump, will give it a go tomorrow
Safechav - hopefully this isnt the case as it sounds exactly the same as b4 just not sucking the water through it which makes me think is may just have ceased a little?

cheers

also try the inlet to the pump as this may be blocked and if so will burn out the motor in time
