Default Suddenly running rich

My cossie Westfield was driving fine then suddenly started to splutter. Managed to get home but on inspection the plugs are very black. Have checked all pipes and conections etc. Any ideas? Would a mobile tuner be able to ditect if a sensor is not working?

Thank you

Check the hose going to the map sensor. If it comes off the engine will run rich during idle/cruise but will run lean under boost. Could also possibly be a coolant temp sensor problem or the plug has come off.

Good luck.

RIGHT MATE GET A MULTI
best thing to do is to take engine temp sensor out and put in the fridge with a thermometer get as close to 0 deg as pos same with i a t but only to 15-25 deg
readings as follows

coolant temp sensor
c/t/s
0deg= aprox 6000 ohms
40deg=1200 ohms
100deg=180 ohms

i/a/t
intake air temp
between 15+25 deg = aprox3800 ohms

t/p/s
throttle position sensor 2 differ types
type 1

on pins 1+3 with throttle closed =3000 ohms aprox
on pins 1+3 with throttle open fully =1000 ohms aprox

type 2

on pins 1+2 with throttle closed=3000 ohms aprox
on pins 1+2 with throttle open fully 1000 ohms aprox

hope this helps need any more just ask
