uust wondered if anyone could spread some light on a car i brought today.the car misfires fairly bad before it comes on boost.iv checked the compression on all four and everything there seems to be ok.i also checked to make sure its sparking correctly and that seems to be ok and pretty sure its fuel now but was wondering if anyone had any idea

 

How old are the plugs and what are they gapped at? dizzys are also common weak points on these, and the cap and rotor arm would be worth a check.

If you think its fuelling i'd suggest a tune (assuming its an ERST) they can be very tempermental.

 

if you think its fuelling problem,take it for a quick spin,get home and remove a plug quick.if it stinks of petrol then its overfuelling.try each plug.
