My MT75 gearbox in my sierra 4x4 2.0 dohc is sounding like a tractor and I have a N9 gearbox from a 2.8 sierra 4x4 in my spares. Are the two gearboxes interchangeable, obviously the housings are different, but would the spigot for the clutch be the same?

i think the bell housings may be universal bolt pattern (gbox end) but the 2.8 cluch has 23 slpines and the 2.0 has 20, i think.....

so you may just get away with it if you use a 2.8 cluch plate to mate with the box and the 2.0 pressure plate on the fly wheel, they should be about the same size 230mm i think, if not you could always modify the cluch plate(make it smaller) type of thing
