Default escort mk6 2.o zetec conversion

hi not sure if any one can help...bought a mk6 which the owner said had 2.0 zetec conversion, it still had 1.6 tb so changed this for a 2.0 tb all ok...then managed to get 2.0 maf car did not like that one bit...checked ecu and still fitted with 1.6 ecu...got hold of non pats 2.0 mondeo ecu and wired it in fitted 2.0 maf started first time a bit lumpy but i thought it needs to reset it self...once it had found its base idle i drove it would not rev past 4000 in any gear unless it was on 1/2 throttle any more than that forget it...low rev range almost to lumpy to drive...engine no are not on crank case so any othe way to find out if it is a 2.0 without removing head or maybe some other fault thanks

take of the manifold and above the crankcase braether it will say 1.6 1.8 2.0 this is the block size

as for the dodgy idle etc

1 did the car idle funny when u changed the throttle body or when u added the maf

both send out a 0-5v signal sounds like 1 of them is hitting 5 v before its ment to

but need bit more info on this 1 mate

had the 2.0 tb all ok...put on 2.0 maf would not idle as it still had the 1.6 ecu...
replaced ecu and maf for 2.0 spec

then probs...

tried with 1.6 maf still probs

now reversed wiring and put 1.6 ecu and maf until i can sort out cause

iratic idle sounds like an air leak in inlet manifols check for leaks
did u replace t/b with new gaskets chek stubs at rrar of maniold

can u here hissing noise in the bay??

i think the prob is with the 2.0 ecu as the car is fine with the 1.6 will check engine id on back of block and see if the guy has been telling porkies about it being a 2.0
