Have recently fitted a mocal oil cooler but am stuck on which filter to use. The standard filter fouls the engine mount. Have tried an efl 10 which I think is the smallest ford filter but it is slightly too long. I know renault filters are tiny but is it OK to use any filter? Will they flow enough oil? It is a 2wd sapphire by the way.

Come on guys someone must have a mocal sandwhich plate fitted to a 2wd sapphire? I have found the perfect size filter but the thread size is wrong
please help.

have you tried a cvh oil filter, i don't know the new number but it used to be an efl 134, i am sure they are shallower
