Please can someone help me with this problem thats been driving me nuts...
I own a MK6 Escort Si (1996) and am having problems with the brakes flashing or been on all the time, this happens when I'm either driving or standing still or when I touch the clutch??!!!!.

Please can someone shed any lighton this as its cheesing me off and also people driving behind me cos they think am constantly braking.

U need to adjust the brake light switch. Its adjusted wrong and when u push the clutch its moving enough to just operate the switch, and road vibrations etc while driving will make them flicker. Its an awkward job, up underneath the dash towards the top of the pedal, will have a plug with 2 wires on it.
