the fuel pump on my xr2i 8v has packed up, was just wondering if the 2i has the same fuel pump as a 3i or not just as a brand new one is over 140 new so will need to get one second hand to get it running again.

 

It should be the same as an EFI XR3i but not an MFI one

 

got the pump sorted but maneged to break one on the connectors on the hose that attach's onto the top of the pump, hope i can get another , unless someone has one lying about

 

The push on type connectors yeah? Let me guess the pipe snapped off the connector yeah??

 

no the inner part of the conector has a crack in it, the pipe is till attached, couldn't work out how to get em off so think i was a bit rough with it when i was takin it off

 

join the club i had to break a few before i worked it out too

Worst comes to worst u can use a length of rubber hose instead of the standard item. That should still be available from ford though.....wouldn't of thought it would be too cheap though
