my dads 1800 escort ghia-x's heated windscreen is messing about,i cant hear a relay clicking anywhere for it but have 12v at the switch but no light comes on,i think the relays gone but have asked ford,consulted the haynes and the ford book and none tell me where the relay actually is,iv got the code of it so checked through witht he rest of them above the fusebox but none of the numbers match!

can anyone help please?

also the heated windscreen front /rear light comes on with the brake pedal-dodgy earth?where would i look for it

under the bonnet on the right attached to the battery there a 30 amp fuse for the heated screen the relay is in the loom for the screen next to the abs pump as fare as i can remember

 

Green relay located on rear of battery tray behind plastic sheild under scuttle panel for everyones information, nice reply to 9yr old thread btw

 

I did not look at the date that was first put lol
