Default Amal valve

Hi all,
Bit of advice from you tech guru's please, is it ok to leave the Amal valve disconnected permenantly as this seems to have cured a misfire on high boost. Car is Saff 4x4 stage 3.
And is this normal that it would cure the problem or just coincidental ?
Cheers Mark

Of course it isnt coincidental, unplugging it has lowered your boost pressure

Getting her fixed properly should be your number 1 priority..

possibly overboosting and set up incorrectly take stu,s advice and get it checked out by a tuner or it could become more than just a misfire

Thanks to all for the replies, so basically i have just bypassed the problem by the sound of it ?
Stuart, i have heard good things of your place and i am in the north west, what would you suggest, a diagnostic check perhaps ?
Maybe i should try to get up to your place in the next couple of weeks for a visit.
Cheers Mark
