Default Braided Hoses

I've got some Mondeo V6 (same as cossie calipers im told) Calipers that im gonna be using to upgrade the brakes on My Fiesta Si for when the ZT engine goes in (OE brakes are nothing short of scary stopping a 90bhp car, let alone something running 270bhp lol)

I'm looking to change the std flexi hoses for braided items, but im not sure wether i need to buy braided hoses suitable for the mk3 fiesta, or hoses suitable for the mondeo calipers? are the fittings where the hoses join the calipers universal, or are the fitting where the hoses joing the metal brake pipe different?

any help appreciated !!

Xander

I have the same callipers for my Mk4 fiesta. I fitted the braided brake hoses to the original callipers and now the Mondeo ones and they are exactly the same fittings. Hoses for the Mondeo will probably fit to the Fiesta brakeline-flexihose junction but will be longer and may foul the wheel or brakes. The fiesta ones are the ones to go for. I'm pretty sure the Mk4 and Mk3 flexi-hose fittings and lengths are the same.

hope that helps

Alan
