AP Racing brake disk fitting guide
AP Disk & Bell fitting guide:
Thought I'd knock this up as it seems a number of people HAVE got it wrong at some stage or other (ME included!).
Right without wanting to teach peeps to suck eggs here goes.....................
*As my kit has been on the car for over a year, its doesn't look too pretty*
Right you receive the following (available from Mike Rainbird or Reyland Motorsports - use the search button!).
FITTING KIT:
24 Allen head bolts (these are a specific length which can only be bought from AP via the above people).
24 Ovalised nuts
48 stainless steel washers
24 AP Bobbins
BELLS:
BRAKE DISKS:
Okay now the CORRECT fitment (as advised by Martin H from Reyland) is as follows:
BOLT, WASHER, BELL, DISK, BOBBIN, WASHER THEN NUT
SOME PICS:
THE CORRECT TORQUE SETTINGS ARE 12NM OR 10.5LB
*DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THESE AS YOU END UP DISTORTING THE BELLS AND BUYING A NEW SET!!*
THE FINISHED ARTICLE:
I hope this helps............... I know i wish this sort of thing was done for me the first time round!!
Thanks
Jason
(Ps excuse the pics, these were taken on my camera phone!!).
