Southwest Passionford Meet - 3rd sunday of the month - Taunton - (next : 19th may)
If mods could allow this to stay in the car related chat section until the first meeting it would be really appreciated to give us a bit of a headstart on letting everyone know about it as I know that its now been so long since we have had a big meet in the southwest that most people from the southwest probably dont even bother checking the events section anymore.
Now that the summer is here (ive jinxed it now, lol), it seems to the ideal time for getting a big southwest meet up and running like we used to have years ago.
Its going to be 3rd Sunday of the Month at the Harvester / HolidayInn by junction 25 of the M5 (taunton junction) starting at 7pm.
Its a passionford meet, not an RSOC meet, so there are no fees, no rules on what makes of cars are allowed etc, anyone who is into cars and got an interest in fords is more than welcome irrelevant of what you are driving (or if you come on the bus!) to just turn up and have a chat and a mingle.
Hopefully this should get the ball rolling and once more people start attending we can decide if its the right location to stay at or if we need to move it etc, but IME you just need something to get started with.
Hope to see lots of you there on the 15th July
And please spread the word about to anyone you think might be interested

No ideas what numbers will be like first time so cant make any promises, but there are certainly enough people in this region to make it a real success if everyone does make the effort

I was in the middle of sorting a Southwest meet (ie location etc) but seeing all the trouble you have gone too will just come along to this one with everyone, am sure it will be a great meet!

Also guys, we should keep an eye on the local Pistonheads meets. They go to Chedder etc and some serious motors on display... I am going to the car show at Sherborne Castle on the 15th July if anyone fancies that. Will have to bung the Cossie in the carpark but a good oppertunity to see some classic cars?

My nova is currently in bits again as I recently lost the camchain on the saab engine that was in it, so will be fitting another at some point (ive moved on from the vauxhall engines now as saab ones are cheap and good for big power), its all on the back burner though as Ive been playing clios a lot lately with the mrs instead.

Location isnt cast in stone or anything for future meets, but we need to just get one over with first to get an idea of numbers so that we know what we are looking for after that, so we will just see how this one goes to begin with and at least that way the ball is rolling
