Looking to get a 2nd cam cover so I can return my engine to standard looks...
I'd rather have another so I can get it tapped for the breather in advance.
Is there any difference between 2wd & 4wd covers ??
Any good company's out there to refurb them ??
Also does the green used on the covers have a name or code ??
Thanks again

Mick at Spraystation is fantastic at cam covers, he can paint the silver bits to look like polished ally and that way they never fade.

Evening all, tried Mike at spraystation...I think it was him I spoke to, seems he is wrapping things up shortly (to resto a escort cos)
So tried HEADSHOP (UK) based in Warrington.
Spoke with Tony about what I wanted and decided to send it off.
Came back today, (return postage included in the price) very impressed and they even fixed both front cam belt cover mounting threads.
The finish I wanted was the o/e green with polished finish and it doesn't disappoint.
It does look brighter in the picture but in the flesh this is the best match to o/e green I've seen.

What was the paint code for the green, just had mine done and mine looks darker than that. Had mine done in fiat 312b aero base coat, as that’s the colour I was told it was by two people on another forum.

I've got an original 4x4 cover also and yes that's a mat finish but in the light of day there very close.
I'm sure Tony told me he had a customer come in with an original cover that he colour matched, not sure of the code but I've come across the fait code.
I did a colour test with a ford modeana green and with a grey primer, no lacquer it was also very close.

Looks like they did a good job, you have'nt got a completely standard engine bay so does it matter if some super critical person thinks the finish is not an exact match to the original green.
