and.. RSOC National day at Donington Sunday 27th August

 

I want to do brands hatch but I dont think my exhaust will pass the noise test or fly bys, How do you manage it?

 

Normal 2 box stainless exhaust.

 

I have a MK2 Focus ST with a turbo back 3" kms section 18

 

Iv done two this year Mallory park and oulton
park both good days oulton park is a must do as it's the best trackday iv done up to yet.
and we was at rockingham on Saturday but I did not drive . As to you sound get a desabel
killer iv got one just incase I have a problem or
get a bit of pipe witch sends the sound down to the floor witch can help

 

that will be loud then lol!
i'll be very surprised if you manage to get that below the some of the limits the tracks impose.

If you're planning on doing a few trackdays you'll probably be better off switching for a quieter system.

If youre only planning on doing track time at shows, then you should be ok as they generally have high limits on show days.

 

Yeah I was fine on Silverstone ford Ford Fair but Brands or anywhere else and it's way too loud, Bit of a joke it's fine on some days but not on others

 

im looking at castle coombe 13th may and rsoc national day

 

i'd like to do RSOC nationals again, but last year out of the 6 sessions there were, i only managed to get one clean run where the slower cars would actually move out the way.
There's was little to none track etiquette
that being said, it is a cheap day out!

 

Ford Fair is the one for appauling behaviour

 

the only way i can describe Fordfair, is like the race from the toll booth on the M6 toll. It's literally every man for himself.
It's a boring loop of track anyway. I'd love to have a crack at the full circuit

 

Im doing Combe on the 13th May but not sure my car will pass the noise reg as its very loud.

Silverstone dont give a f*ck about noise regs on show days - a few years back i blew all the baffles out of my moonstone 3dr on track and it ended up being one of the loudest on the day and nothing was even mentioned or flagged

 

Am I right in saying some tracks have static noise tests checks only where others have fly-by noise limits as well like Brands?

Yes.
Oulton do a static test before your allowed out, they put a noise tested sticker on your windscreen.
Donington have measurement around the circuit and will black flag you if your car is too noisey.

Just got back from doing a javelin trackday at kendrew Baracks well the funny thing it was only Ł129 so very cheap we did not no wot to was going to be like as it had not been used sins 2011 and it's a airfield track first outing we did not think much of it as it was very slippery and no grip . Well very slowly it got better and better then the rain come down well it did go a bit slippery but we went out to have some fun . And fun we had till it dried up then the track got faster well till I ran out of talent and my car turned into a lawnmower lol but it all ended good and we will be going back again this year

just booked on Cadwell on the 20th July too. Only costing Ł120 with the tracktimeuk discount code.
This will be third time in a row for me now. Hopefully i'll be able to get some polybushes sorted for then.

 

I went to Pure Ford at Combe a few weeks back - was a great day.

Was looking to do RS Combe as that is cheap for a whole day there but dont think the car will be on the road

 

On Saturday we did kendrew Barracks . It was a airfield track but I must say we had a good time it had not been used by javelin since 2011 . The price was spot on Ł129 all day and there was only about 25 cars there so spot on . And as of last night we have booked up to do Bedford with MSVT Ł169 and iv booked a instructor for 30 min for Ł25 very happy with that . The date of that one is The 1st July on a Saturday . Did a trackday at Cadwell in April, think that'll be enough for me this year.

 

im doing brands indy evening wednesday 31st may.

 

Just booked RS Combe on 1st July, will be the first time i've driven the new track car.

Plan on booking RSOC National day soon too.

 

Booked for pembrey on the 17th of june

 

Had a great day at Oulton Park on Tuesday, car ran without issue all day. Weather was great.
Didn't lift the tool kit out at all.
Used about 100 litres of super on circuit

Car seems to of went well then ridgey good on you for using it

 

I must of had over half a dozen people at least throughout the day, come over and comment on not seeing Cossies anymore and chuffed to see one actually being used properly.
Makes all the effort more worth while keeping it running.

The xmas track day is usually a right good laugh.
Unfortunately I won't make it due to upgrade work on the car

 

Just seen this topic. Thought I’d drop a few I’ve done. Mainly do Cadwell park and donington Park. Didn’t do any sessions at Ford shows or even bring the fiesta. Was at autosport tho in Jan.
