Default Sapp cossie belts? (89 2wd)

Hi Fella's,

So, the three belts, are they all the same size?

Also, the belts that are currently installed have the teeth facing the outside. I always assumed they are installed teeth on the inside.

Where is a good source to buy?

Cheers

The power steering belt is shorter.
Search on ebay for gates belts.
Yes the teeth should be on the inside.

Will go and look for numbers now.

Your welcome.

Your belts look a bit odd.

An understatement...

Are those belts installed upside down? I'd have assumed that was nigh on impossible to do. It looks like the teeth are on the outside and have all been worn down

Or are belts meant for something else that just happened to be handy last time they were changed?

Yeah, i thought they were wrong when i looked at them.
Ive only just got the car so im finding things like this.

Looking at the belts, they are tappered on the non teeth side so maybe they are a generic belt which can be used both ways for different cars..
Anyway, Costina has helped me out and new correct belts are on the way

Cheers Fella's.

So, i got the new belts but the two that go around the alternator are nowhere near to be fitting on, even with eveything loosened..

When i took the "upside down" ones off, it appears they must be a universal belt as the underside of the ttethed side are tapppered.. Weird eh.

Anyway, had to put them back on.. Am i missing something here?

Cheers.

Need pics of alternator area.
I would remove upper stay and fit belts then refit stay.
