picked this up last week, owned it a couple of years ago. any other sleeper vans out there?

 

Not a bad sleeper! The most famous has to be the Royal Nail (youtube it) was owned by Mark "Wenny" Wenn, not sure he still owns it, was a mk4 with a 450bhp YB engine and 4wd.

 

yeah last I saw of the nail I think it was on its way over to ireland? was a while ago.

nearly bought a mk5 van last week with st200 lump in it, was only on close inspection some of the fabrication work around the engine bay put me off

I had a mk5 one 178bhp on the rollers, full rs2000 front end with morettes. Sold it for £720 in 2008. Biggest mistake ever love another

 

not sure yet mate, its out of mot and wont pass another on its crusty sills, but with the saph project taking up most of my time, and the wife's mini Mayfair to do after that, ive no time for it. Might be breaking it if there's enough interest

 

if only i knew id be buying it, id have kept the mk5 one i recently sold

I had great pleasure to be involved with this van and the lads who owned it at the time. I can safely say its the fastest vehicle i have been in.

Me and a lad called Blacky drove in it to ford fair one year. We did 2 track sessions and it did two 0 to 60 sprints and we drove it home.

Yeh thats it. Blacky bought it off wenny and he used it for a few months. Then blacky sold the van to a lad in Durham then wenny bought it back of that lad then sold it to someone in Ireland.

 

Ah right, I'd heard Wenny bought it back but then nothing, don't think its been seen for a while.

 

Going to be selling this soon, i need to concentrate on getting the saph done, and it doesnt deserve to sit around getting crustier

 

well ive decided not to sell this for now, going to use until the cossie is back together. so, shes now borrowed the cossies tarmacs lol

Yes mate its black, but someone must have painted a wall nearby at some point, as it has spots of white over the laquer lol. Aubergine is a top shout mate if ever i was going for a colour change, that would be right up there
