The air scoop at the bottom of the cooler just tucks under the bumper so it is quite air tight there too, I will add a rubber strip between the two pieces to seal it up.

I can now have a carbon or ally air box made above the cooler to suck ' force cool air into the turbo air filter. I have found a carbon one at spoox that is designed to replace the 205 slam panel so I can adapt that probably.

Once I had finished the intercooler on the previous page I raised the engine up by 20mm and that seemed fine so will really help with the driveshaft angles.

What I also found was the drivers side engine mount was in two pieces so that would also answer why I am getting vibrations, anyone recommend where to buy a good mount from, I am assuming the vibratechnics ones are more harsh than standard but open to ideas.

I might go with that then, I was really pleased to find it in two pieces on the side that vibrates as will be better once fixed.

I will add some hook and loop so it seals in a straight line down the weld.

I will contact glue the rubber from<br/>Behind to form a tight seal on the bumper

This tab bolts on to the air Tec scoop and has now been trimmed to the exact shape.
I think I will trim back the air scoop to follow the contour of the bumper as it looks sharp in the pic

I got my winter wheels matched up to my spare tyres to see what it looked like and to see they don't rub before I order winter tyres

They look bigger as the white goes to the edge of the rim. These are 8x16 et 25 my others are the same but on 7's

...good to know you're reaching a solution without rebuilding the halfshafts.
well done !

also thanks for the pics of that 205 of yours:

Mark Shead advised that he has used vibratechnics on the driver side but standard engine mount on the passenger to keep the noise and vibrations down. On that basis I will give one a try and see how it goes. I actually bought 3.....the reason for this is that they give a perfect shape for me to mill the other 2 down and use them as a perfect spacer to raise the engine up. If I remove the rubber mount I am just left with the oval shape in the correct material with the correct hole spacings. I can use 1 to try and if it doesn't work as a spacer I can always fit the other to the passenger side.

I fitted Collins engine mounts on my 4x4 and I don't think they are harsh.

After weeks of texting Mark at MK motorsport buying 1 of everything he has on the shelf and him helping me fit it all I got 2 weeks in the sun to relax and not think about my car, picked up the Kindle to read Guy Martins excellent "when you dead, you dead" I get 3 pages in and he starts talking about his mate Mark Walker of MK / Martek ...I cannot escape. Nice to see him get a mention though eh.

Update: This weekend I fitted the drivers side Vibratechnics engine mount to replace the std one that had sheared right through, I believe this was what was causing the vibration when turning hard right. I noticed a witness mark where something had been rubbing the subframe cradle at that point. I drilled through another 2 vibratechnics mounts to effectively make a 10mm spacer for each side which raises the engine by 10mm, this helps the angle of the front driveshafts a bit.

I am now waiting for the WRC hubs to come from MK so that I can bolt the front end back together plus waiting on new boost hoses from Demon Tweeks for the new intercooler.

After I get back on the road I will take it to get the exhaust slightly re-routed as I now have a better route with the front ARB replaced with the bladed one.

Sort of. I have a 6 degree MK beam to fit too.

Once that is done I want to put some good miles on the car and enjoy it and then it needs to go in to the pro trimmers for carpet and parcel shelf.

No mate, I took it off the road to sort out a new charge cooler system
5 yrs ago 😂

I've had 2 kids, got married, totally refurbed my house, landscaped the garden, and bought the wife a new car.

So I've had no time or money for the car.
I have bought a few bits and ended up completely stripping the car bare from the windscreen forwards, I've welded on new turrets so I could fit pillow ball top mounts, and done a load of cutting & welding of the engine bay and respray es it all. Then had all the parts that were removed, stripped and powder coated.

When I get time I will reassemble it all. But I'm in no rush.

I put on the new black boost hoses today to match the new intercooler routing, really please with how short the run is to the throttle body.

I cut down the air filter intak length and now it sits nicely above the intercooler and right in the airflow behind the normal 205 grill. It will be interesting to compare the intake temps as soon as I bolt the front back together.

Thanks guys. I have billet steering arms to go on too and a powder coated 6 degree beam with the Supra fitting kit included. New pin kit for the new hubs with WRC bearings. Bladed anti roll bar mounts (still some fabrication to do there) new top mounts to give extra camber adjustment. Sleeves for the stub axles to fit the bearings too.
