Official news: European Ford Event 2010
Hello overthere,
It's official we have a new location for the European Ford Event, its gonna be Flevonice in the mittle of the Netherlands. More news and updates on the official website http://www.europeanfordevent.nl/
In 2 weeks time the paper work is now almost done a few minor details before we sign the official contract! And we have a new really big location of 50.000 square meters! Airfield was cancelled due to environmetal license withdrawn!
not all the news is still available on our website because its so fresh! We are working on that. But the English page with all the major news is online

If you want to book a hotel you should do it quick there is one really close to the event. For campings you should wait a week because we are working on it

Now in its 18th year, this years European Ford Event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The Ford XR/RS club of Holland will once again be holding their biggest European Ford Event of the mainland.
After several successful years at Baarlo Speedway Track, and at Sevenum, both near Venlo, the show moved south in 1999-2009 to the large Sports Stadium at Landgraaf. Now we are moving to the mittle of the Netherlands
Now in its 18th year, this years European Ford Event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The Ford XR/RS club of Holland will once again be holding their biggest European Ford Event of the mainland.

The Show it self:
There is usually an attendance of 2000 vehicles, with Ford clubs from all over Europe, it’s an opportunity to see all the stuff you have never seen before. RS2600’s, 2-door Sierra XR, Taunus, German Spec RS1600i’s, etc, etc. Dutch insurance rules allow any modification at no extra cost, so they are into customizing / modifications and tuning in a big way. UK Fords have taken many of the honors in the concours, so if you have a tidy motor, get it entered. They prefer totally original, even with the odd scratch, rather than mint but restored. And you don’t need the RSOC logbook. The Ford XR/RS club traditionally run sprint & slalom events down the track all day.
Anyone can participate. Especially the sprint-races are favoured by all Ford-fans and are a guarantee for a lot of spectacle and quite a few embarrased drivers … !

Pets are not allowed
With the meeting being a 1-day event, the Saturday is normally “Nurburgring-Day” for the RSOC-members who come over to Holland for the weekend.
This legendary circuit (over 14 miles long) is a 3,5 hour drive from FlevOnice, 247 km away.
Route FlevOnice – Nurburgring
The XR owners club shall be there like every year and shall display there selfs on the Club-Lane!

For info regarding the booking of Club Stands, or for pre-ordering tickets for the clublane (minimum of 10)

Hi who of you guys comes across the channal to visit the European Ford Event. In august iam coming with hopefully my white RSi to you guys and visit the Ford Fair for the first time!! Actually iam from a place close to FlevOnice and come across the channel this summer

Track itself is not open to run on for visitors we have our oval slalom and a sprint for them. But we hope to invite a really team from Holland which are running the Focus RS WRC. They where also the first private team who got it a few years back!! Will be continued and we hope to welcome as much english people as possible

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
I have already booked my tunnel crossing for the Saturday and return Wednesday, plus this year we have booked three bedroom caravans for the week to save costs. This will be my seventh visit which includes the last five.

Hope you people would come over to the Netherlands with many. It would be my First Ford Fair this year, coming along with the Ford XR/RS club Holland

George, Richard (Bambi), Graham (Red Mk6 from previous years) and myself. The RS1800 needs a few things sorting for that kind of trip after it was taken on track at Ford Fair.

It was nice to meet you again, and I hope you guys had a bit of fun in Holland.
As you know there were some issues going on, but will get sorted later on...
Despite the shitty weather, it is basically a good venue....
I making plans to come over again next year to Ford Fair already......
