in recent years its lost its appeal to the old skool as new generation of focus fest pop n bangers have taken over sadly, price increases of Ł10 in last 2 years did not help, all the same whoever goes I hope they enjoy it
been saying that for a few years waiting for it to be renamed focus fest , I own a focus but dont want to see 1000s of the fuckers, plus things like the exhaust sound off area and pop n bang shite god give me strength

Lol I’m the same got a mk3 rs but newer fords don’t really interest me to the point i’d travel to a show to see them
pretty sure the owner of this saph had a narrow escape on way home when his towing 4x4 went up in flames on motorway , unhooked the trailer and saved the cossie ,
for those of you with facebook you may have seen the video footage

yes that was jim gibbs old saff he built ,very lucky
We camped over ,done it for a few years now ,makes it a better weekend and a right laugh ,no queing either as you go in the back way on the farmers road then after the show we do the same back to the camp site and relax and let the traffic clear then leave
Owners of old cars upset because they're not kings of the castle anymore. I'm sure the MK1/2 Escort folk were exactly the same when Cossies and RSTs took over 'their' scene. It's a shame we can't just be grateful that Ford have been making such great performance cars in recent years that so many people want to buy them, take them to shows and keep the Ford scene alive.
Some nice metal above. Shame I couldn't go along this year.
Nothing to slag off mate. Yes true there are a lot of fiesta and focus st/rs but we had lots to see and had a great day.
As you say...time goes by and nothing last forever.
But i'm always happy to see an old Ford.
Sorry, my comments weren't aimed at you, just the usual whinging from others. It's funny how every generation gets upset when things change and their thing is no longer top of the pile.

Christ, bet they go well!
I have just done a puma conversion on mine so can only imagine what it would be like with a MK1 frs engine in,
Fair play, alot of time and work must have gone Into both cars
i went with the kids
they loved it
junior took 7.7gb of photos, not sure how much the girl took but it was plenty
we did the normal thing of getting there early and then having a wander about to say hello to the various other folks who got there early and then just spent the rest of the day bumming around and looking at cars
we were parked right opposite the classic ford stand and both kids were loving the old school stuff
we sat around for the track action too but with the closed stands it was a bit shit
plus i got the girl to sit in the front on the ay there so she could get her face in the frame
left at around 5.30am, got home at around 7.30pm and enjoyed most of it a lot
i know people say it's gone downhill and the auto jumble was a bit poor and the trade stands weren't as plentiful as they used to be and most of them were selling cleaning products because everyone these days wants to clean their cars but times move and if you don't move with them you get left behind
it is finance fair these days, but you got to get that product out there someone and what better way to spend a saturday night than drinking vodka and chatting about a shitty car show with other grumpy fucks
