2017 show plans
What shows are you doing this year?
Just looking for ideas on what I can do this year for a change
I'm bored/ p!ssed off with the usual Fordfair, RS National day as many are
So what are you doing instead this year?
With the Orion
I'm booked in again for
Gold Cup weekend @ Oulton Park
But so far that's it, they'll be more local shows I'll probably attend and just enjoy days out
With the A3 ( never used it for shows, so will be a first )
I've booked a space at Audis in the park with Audisport net

Where's the steam fair? I'd love to get to more local small shows this year too. There's often a Pistonheads meet at the Riverside in St Neots on the first Sunday of the month - usually some exotica there such as lambos, ferraris etc which is something different.

FITP is a nice little show - nothing too brash and just a good relaxed way to catch up with everyone. I'll be there with my club ProjectPuma - hiding the RS at the back...lol

Went to FITP in 2012 was a nice show although quiet that year but as you said a relaxed show.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Look around your local area. Plenty of smaller shows with a huge variety of cars and not just Fords.
I'm doing Simply Ford and RS National Day, but not Ford Fair or Classic Ford as just bored with them.
Also got Basingstoke Festival of Transport, Uxbridge Motor Show, Rally Day at Combe lined up. Plus a few local shows like Pangbourne and Thatcham.
Much more interesting in my opinion

this year we are boycotting all kelsey media run shows in protest at their price hikes plus they are pretty dire as of late and should be renamed focus fest and Im a focus owner too but dont want to attend a event filled with them like ford fair.
regional events are where its at these days for atmosphere and value for money like Del above, we just had a all ford meet at the british motor museum and we are at the ace cafe in 3 weeks time for our yearly birthday bash, then the uxbridge autoshow in july which is massive and diverse

Yeah defo mate, as I've only just started they let us book what holiday we wanted for the coming year so I went through all the dates for the car shows that I want to go to, simply ford down the road from me is the one I love going to but I'm back off to Birmingham tomorrow for my 5th week of training
