I totally agree as lads like Sinbad put serious miles on their cossies going all over the UK and are a credit to the ford scene and we all hope this event does happen and is a success so it can become a annual event

Well with all our planning, hopefully, it will generate a decent amount of interest for the future. I have to say interest for this event is unbelievable. It's different to the usual track days, and therefore gives that niche market of fans an opportunity as well as regulars

It's a fun day for all. Everyone loves to see an old Mini annihilate a GTR

We're bringing fords to people's attention, and hopefully we can surprise a few people's expectations along the way

Cheers mate
Yeah I have to agree! Their the best blokes in the business.

I've learned so much in a short span of time from these two guys alone.
And the comments and feedback I've received, is immense!

So thanks to everyone!

Due to the distance I would be looking at making a weekend off it, so I can arrange a trailor ect, to far to drive and enter in the same car

If we can get all the big boys involved then a lot of people will be willing to attend just to see their cars running

Another idea could be zetec turbo class, could make an interesting feature for a magazine ?

There's loads of us on here building them with all sorts of different specs?

Could have class's like this instead
Cvh powered/Zvh
Cosworth powered
2.5 duratec turbo ( focus rs/ st ect)
New skool (fiesta st ect )
Old skool
Zetec turbo class including mk1 frs?

Mix it up from the norm and make it interesting

There's a few people with big power cvh's that maybe would have a bash together and same with zetec turbo

And I bet some people of turbosport would fill the old skool and cosworth powered class?

At Ł43 it's a cheap day compaired too most, every time someone says about one of these days it's like Ł100-150 then plus travel, fuel, time, so ends up being to much but yours sounds a good day for little money

Cheers mate! And good idea

I think it's a reasonable price, I wouldn't want anyone spending more than that tbh. Especially when people are traveling, considering fuel etc etc.

I bet my 2.0 Auto Sierra Ghia with a blowing exhaust is faster than Rod's top speed cossie tonight..

(I say tonight as its an auto - and nobody knows if they will continue to run in the morning that and I know rods car is missing half its engine )

What's your estimate for completion? I know with your kind of build your forever waiting on parts How long did it take to get your hands on your studs??

Studs were delivered on time so 6 weeks from place of order. The one off dry sump took 7 months. We should have all the parts in the next 6/8 weeks before building the engine can start. Maybe on the Dyno this side of Christmas but im not banking on that.

I suppose you always have to expect a spanner in the works somewhere down the line. What's your new goal your aiming for? I know you said you wanted to hold them for 10 years. You can't be far off now?! Basically, what im rambling about is what's next

Fair play to you for really going for it and making it happen, would love to turn up to an event like this, but you know how things are with me right now, maybe when its been a great success I can attend the 2nd or 3rd running of the event? I wish everyone the best of luck!
