Default staffs/cheshire rolling road day @ WGT Sat 19th March 2011

hi guys am organising another rolling road day this time at WGT in middlewich cheshire, they have a great hub dyno there and seem to be a helpful lot, also decent printouts, prices are £40 inc vat

this gives us enough time get any mods etc done also spoke to pip at wgt and deposit will have be paid in jan at the latest

nice to see some interest lads

i considered psi but it as far as i know is only a 2wd rr, which wont help if we have any 4x4 boys wanting to run, if i only get 2wd cars interested then psi is a good choice, would prob be around £40 for the power runs and printouts

Last figures I saw from there were quoting standard 1.8 Escorts with air filters at over 120bhp

I might be up for this, date depending

right then fellas i think we shall make this a 2wd event, if the 2wd boys can prove they will be running over 300bhp on fwd/rwd then we can have it at psi tuning i hear there rollers are pretty spot on as rollers go, i know mikeanics have always seemed pretty accurate as well.

date is going depend on how soon my r5gtt is all up and running again got a few things i need to do first of all is get new mot then big plans for the engine that im hoping will see me touching 200bhp

think as before will get a deposit of £100 then it will book us the rollers so like last time ill be asking for any 10 off the eventual list for a £10 deposit then that will entitle that 10 to be running first on the day

im hopeing around 400bhp when ive finished my mapping which is 120bhp more than last time we all met up.

Im guessing john in his cossie is also in the running, anyone else with decent power coming?

id imagine yours will be up there lee thats for sure as going for anything with decent power then as you well know a r5gtt with 180-200bhp is more than decent and can out perform alot of things, but on big figures up to yet theres you and john.
i was hoping get andy bishop down in his nova turbo as thats around 350bhp but his car off road until april.
am going post this up on the rsoc see if get any interest off there am sure mark barber would be interested

yeh ive been on there rollers, just to make you guys aware though, they cant run the rollers for toffee, i had to tell them how to work out transmission losses and show them how to hook up there wideband lol

So dont expect miracles, unless its a diesel vw golf they arnt the brightest lads.

i just used there rollers as mikeanics are only good for 300bhp, stuck it on psi rollers and maxed my stock injectors out at 100% at 360bhp, so im running more boost with bigger injectors, massive intercooler so 400bhp should be in reach aslong as the boost doesnt blow the spark out

am actually considering changing the venue of this to wgt in middlewich as they have a hub dyno and seem alot more able to offer any advice etc, been having a few mixed opinions about psi tbh any thoughts appreciated

event now edited as you can see by the title, this is a much better venue and so i believe they are a tad more accurate than a rolling road
