Yeah the static test isnt too bad really for this one.

Have booked 2 places, one for me and one for the mrs, we're not in anything interesting though TBH, my clio which is now going to be minus the throttle bodies so basically back to standard williams power (150ish) and her 1.8 16v mk1 which is about 130bhp, hopefully both should do ok through the corners as hers handles ok and my one is actually pretty good on the bends, but we're going to be a pair of mobile chicanes on the straights

Looking forward to it though, and lesley has only done a few trackdays so far so it should be good practice for her.

Any plans for meets up the night before or night after? Usually quite a good one socially this

That seems a bit silly, tow the westy all the way to Bedford just to polish it.

1000bhp is slightly mental when you look how stupidly fragile they are under the skin isnt it!

I dont think 23.50 is actually full price, it just keeps creeping up the longer you leave it.

No, they have a few rooms at 19.99 and a few at 23.50 a few at other prices too, so it's just a case of first to book will get a cheaper room, and the price slowly goes up

if we dont pass the noise limit, do you get a refund?

might ask one of the NVH guys at work to check my car, what are the criteria for measurement?

also, is it really Ł25 per passenger, a couple of my friends may want to bring wives and girlfriends, also i was gonna ask my brother to come in his car to lug any tools and spares, is this gonna cost him (or me) Ł25 too??

No, of couse not, they tell you what the limits are and IIRC by appointment you can go and get tested ahead of the event if you are in any doubt, so if you still turn up with a car that is too noisey despite all that why should they be out of pocket as a result of that?

It's all on their website.

You only have to pay to be a passenger if you want to go in a car or in the pits on the track, there is another carpark area they could sit in all day for free though if they wanted.
Would be a fucking boring day out though, its not a spectator track at all really so if you arent driver or passenger you're going to be bored IMHO

cheers chip.....might be a little trip up to bedford ahead of time then. although it says the ticket is non refundable on the website.

if the details are on the website then i'll see if one of the guys from work can do it

looking forward to it

ian, you may find some ruling that if you're running slicks they want you to have a roll cage, the theory is if you fall off you're going faster therefore they like you to have a cage with slicks????

Hahaha no that's not out for ages!!!

Bought something that I needed for the fleet! A reliable, totally standard track car that can be easily driven to events and even the ring! It's only few years old and still has a warranty! Will be alot of fun on the road and goes at decent pace on track. It's light and offers ALOT of driving thrills! V v v excited!

I pick it up Tuesday!

Tempted to book on myself in the Clio but...

a.) Need to get my coilovers rebuilt first...

b.) I got politely advised to back off by the noise meters last time I was at Bedford by the marshalls - they couldnt prove I was the loud one I just always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.....I reckon I've lost some baffles out the exhaust since then so dont fancy my chances tbh!!

Are there still spaces as I was wanting to book up today but can't access the MSV site at work?

Can anybody advise on cost and whether there is a half day option available?
