A good long fast drive on Sunday 4th Oct - 100 miles of scenery!
Anyone up for it?
I did a route last week that was just shy of 100 miles and took about 3 hours, plenty of stunning scenery and quite a few pubs a few roadside cafes too along the way
If anyone is interested, then the roads will encompass the Marsden moors above Huddersfield, Peak District National Park and some of South Yorkshires good fast roads too
Anyone up for it? List your name below All makes/marques welcome
Edited to add - this is weather pending, if it's raining then it's no fun at all
1 - Me - 4x4 Sapph Cossie
2 - Gus - Subaru STI8 (Sexually Transmitted Infection)
3 - Aidi - 4x4 Sapph Cossie
4 - Dangerous Bryan - E36 M3 Evo Saloon
5 - M4tt247 - Sierra P100 24v V6

Meeting place will be the the carpark for the Lower Royal George Pub on Newhey Road near Scammondon Dam at 1300. Or for those who know me, then my driveway at about 12:30 for a pre-drive brew
Lower Royal George
1002, New Hey Road
Scammonden
Huddersfield
West Yorkshire

Google map Here for the meeting location.

Very happy with the car Si - just put a new front diff oil seal on the input pinion as it was weeping - hope that's the end to the front diff leaking saga then Adam knows about it and has finally come round to the idea too
My local shell now sells 99ron V-Power too at the same price as the V-power elsewhere
Aidi - Deffo a good day, some cracking roads and pretty much all was done in the speed limit too which was a rarity

last Sunday was a good drive out, some awesome views and the roads were just fantastic, got a few stares going through the local places, two cossies together and Gracie firing up the Anti-lag was very funny.

Bryan - thinking about 1300 at the pub as above. Obviously this is very weather pending and with todays rain and gloom it's looking a bit hit and miss for Sunday - lets hope it clears up a lot for Sunday

The roads are fast but it is the bits that drop through little villages that are slow.
Come on Sunday if you want - you'll be surpsied at how slow the roads are

You won't get left behind mate - We have a few lower power cars and an MX5 hopefully coming too.
Power wise, a moderate 380bhp for me
Want me to add you to the list?

Well the weather is cracking good, a bit damp at the moment but the sun is shining and the forecast is sunny all day
See you all at 1300 at the Lower Royal george pub, or those of you that know where I live, 12:30 at mine

Matt have you got my mobile number? The meeting point is really really easy to get to. Come down the M62 towards Manchester and exit at Junction 24 (after the 4 lane uphill bit) and then follow the signs to Rochdale (off the motorway, to the roundabout then first exit, go onto the next roundabout and then 3rd exit signposted Outlane/Rochdale. Follow that road for 2 miles and then you are at the pub )
Bryan - Shit news about your daughter and the swine flu I think you need to come out and avoid contracting it

yep.was a good run out, would of stuck with it a bit longer but freya had had enough. if i had known you were heading for sheffield i would of followed.lol
the p100 sounded ace but definately needs something sorting with the rear suspension. it looked way to soft and loose.
gracey if you could of seen the look on peoples faces when you fired the antilag. priceless, dont think the gtir knew what was going on at the lights in holmfirth either.
car was fine all day but needs shorter gearing, couldn't cope with the two cossies in the acceleration at all. was a lot more even up near 3 figures though.
hope to do it again soon.
