Race Entries available for HMSA Special Saloons.
Entries are now available to race at mallory Park July 5th 2009.
The HMSA Historic Modsports and Saloon Association have been given a race slot for all Pre 1982 Special Saloons,Modsports and Thundersaloons, cars can use any type of engine and gearbox, any race tyres, also any space frames allowed.
View the rules of the HMSA www.historicmodsportsandsaloons.com
Race entries are available from the Comp Secretary of the Morgan Sports Car Club comp.sec@mscc.uk.com
Race cost is £165 with an optional race,Nat B status.
The race title is HMSA Historic Modsports and Saloons.
It should be interesting if the HMSA can get a lot of these Historic race cars revived like the Brodie Ford Escorts and Zakspeed Ford Capris as well as the Ford Anglias etc.
We are going to enter our Special Saloon Escort MK2 and hope to run the original BDG unit, but if we dont want to damage this engine the HMSA said we can use a modern Cosworth unit, which is far cheaper to source parts than the old BDG unit.
We hope to see some of you other Ford racers out there in July, then we can all enter the HMSA 2010 Race Championship.
