Default 165/50/15 compared to 195/50/15 how much less grip

do you think i would see alot of differance using a 165/50/15 toyo r888 rather than a 195/50/15 r888,
(as a track only tire as i can still run 195/50/15's on the front for pod as they dont rub in a staight line)

how much worse do you think 165/50/15's would be for grip/handling etc

i tried the 195/50/15 at ford fair and suffered rubbing on the inner arches at the rear as the toyo's footprint is fairly wide compared to others so im thinking of 165's to give me all the clearance i need

will be on a 6x15 wheel so wont be sretched

opinions plaese

Not sure on the lack of grip or not - although I'd expect them to be worse...

Can you not modify your car in some way to get them to fit? Either spacers, or tickle the arches with an "adjusting tool"?
