Shows the car after its 5sec quarter mile at totb 2005, im just out of picture dying of embarrassment . Never seen this shot before today.
Mark & my pit crew shown pushing a very dead motor back to the pits.
PH is on the right & im using his 'sign in'
Time is 9.10 am & we are first out & officially last .
Lots of effort went into those 5 secs, so be warned this is a tough event for your motor all you budding entrants, it cost me 2k just to get there, so thats £400 a second, Footballers rate of pay that. .

That car was mega prepared that day & that happens, the bit that broke was a , 'You will never break that in a million years part, with special joint from Germany' it had not heard of a Sheady Launch, we have still failed to up-rate that part as we are assured its as strong as possible within the confines of the Cossie Hub.

Rod - I have footage of the dilemma above. The launch, the lift-off and the coast. Let me know if you have a sick urge to see it I suspected you would've seen some already.

I'll watch it tonight on my own PC and if it's not, will dig the footage out and upload

Rod - You usually need to download/install the necessary codec package from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...k_All_in_1.htm
If it still doesn't play properly, scroll about 5-10 seconds in, and it should play. You can usually scroll back to the beginning then and let it play right through.
I'm afraid I didn't get round to checking that video out. I'm sure you're on there, but it will be chopped down footage of the original stuff I got of your car, will see what I have

i'm getting pushed towards doing this by tib but unsure ,
its a 2wd saph running simiar spec to lee and just achieved a personal best of 11.3 at pod at central day,
am also running std ratios so shouldn't be to bad at the top speed run but to be honest never had oppertunity to test that bit
any idea of dates for qual and is it worth my name going on the list

If anyone wants to do some preliminary testing / qualifying runs, the Future Publishing (Redline / Fast Ford etc) is offering a slot at the "Fast Fest" on 03 June at Santa Pod. As far as i know it would be a
dedicated session without having to queue as part of the normal RWYB crowd.
If any of the names on the list are interest, please let me know .

Is that the correct date Mike? only Santa Pod have a vauxhall day down for that date?
there is a public test day on Sat 12th May though, which incorporates Redline Rumble test day
all according to santa Pod calendar

Qualifying will be at Bruntingthorpe on Wednesday 13 June.
Please be aware that any cars with noise issues should try and address these as good as possible, as Brunters have a 98dB static noise limit.
I have a noise meter, so I will bring this and we can put the noisy cars to run last (you will probably only get ONE top speed run before being told off!). The standing quarter times should not be affected (as long as you don't go tearing up the rest of the runway!).
Also, all top speed runs will need to be carried out with a crash-helmet on.
