Default Run to Ford Fair

Hi all, just popping in to see you from Escort RS Cosworth.com

This is just a quick heads up that there will be a cross country Run going to Ford Fair on the morning of August 7th........... ideal for all you Motorway haters !

Not giving away any of the details at this stage as best kept private and Runners will not be notified until shortly before we go either on the thread or possibly just by pm, but i can tell you that the start will be within a 5 mile radius of postcode EN9.......... that's basicly the top of the M25.
The route will be 87 miles of well chosen and researched A & B roads and definitley no Motorway. This will bring us to Silverstone the back way hopefully avoiding the worst of the queuing

If you would like to take part then please post up here so i've an idea of numbers and know who to contact with details
Regarding the route, if you have a TomTom nav with itinerary planning function then please pm me your e-mail address and i can then send you an itn file of the route which you can copy to your nav by connecting it to your pc......... quite easy really and then you'll have no chance of getting lost, though the rules of running are quite simple and should stop anyone getting lost
If necessary i can also provide a printed turn list on the day if required......... no use unless you have a passenger though really.

Vroom Vroom .................. Hope to see you on the 7th

Well, maybe it's that

Didn't know about the forecast !

It's only an extra 15 miles and about an extra 20 minutes as an educated guess.......... so not a great deal more fuel but better value imo as the fuel burnt going cross country will be enjoyed as opposed to spending money on a dull trip up the M1
